Emergency Food & Financial Assistance (based on available funds) & Holiday Programs

These Programs are available to residents of the City of Portage and/or Portage Public School District that are able to submit proof of their address, proof of their household income, and proof of all household residents.
PCC operates a Food Pantry for qualifying residents. See "Related Services" below for special food assistance for senior citizens. PCC is a Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry.
PCC also provides limited Financial Assistance for critical situations involving evictions, energy shut-offs, medication and transportation.
These programs are available during regular business hours: Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm (summer - 8:30am to 4:30pm).

Employment Assistance
PCC can help people seeking employment. PCC can help with job application assistance; information about interviewing and practice interview sessions; job skills and information about local employment agencies; easy to use computer programs to help with cover letters and resumes; computer access to local job postings, and job search web sites. Appointments are necessary to make sure PCC staff will be available.
Holiday Programs

Food Baskets for Thanksgiving & Christmas
PCC furnishes holiday food baskets during Thanksgiving and Christmas for income qualifying families and individuals who live in Portage.
Children's Holiday Party

PCC provides a Holiday Party in December for children age 2-5th grade, who live in the city of Portage and/or the Portage Public School District, who income qualify.
