Immunizations

Immunization Clinics are regularly scheduled the 1st Tuesday of each month from 2:30pm to 5:00pm. Clinics are done on a "walk-in" basis, no appointments needed.

*Important* Please bring your child's immunization records!  For fees and additional information call KCDHCS at 373-5203.

WIC Clinic & Coupons (Women, Infants & Children)

Walk-in welcome!  Or, call for an appointment at 373-5002.  They are at the community center the first Tuesday of each month - 8am to 11:30am and 1pm to 4:30pm, and from 1 to 4:30 the fourth Tuesday of each month.

MIChild/Healthy Kids*

Health insurance for children under 19 of families at or below 200% of poverty (family of 4- $3067 monthly or below). Cost is $5 per month. Application assistance available at PCC. For further information contact KCHSD at 373-5003. *Spanish speaking assistance available at KCHSD.

HIV Testing - Free

           Take the test - take control!  1st and 2nd Tuesdays of the month 2pm to 4pm.  Ora-Sure Methold - no needles.  Confidential. 

Kalamazoo County Health Plan

For adults who have no health insurance and whose income falls between 100%- 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. For further information call KCDHCS at 373-5003.

Preschool Vision And Hearing Screening

PCC hosts Vision and Hearing Screenings during the summer months by appointment. This screening meets the requirements for school enrollment. Please call KCHSD for further information at 373-5031.

Red Cross Blood Drive

PCC hosts a blood drive for the Red Cross on the second Monday of every month from 12noon to 5:45pm. Please call the Red Cross for more information at 353-6180.

Free Legal Clinic

For those who cannot afford an attorney. Sponsored by the Kalamazoo County Bar Association. PCC hosts free legal aid on the 4th Monday of every month beginning at 6pm. No appointment needed- meetings are done on "first come-first serve" basis.

Income Tax Assistance

The Kalamazoo County Tax Counseling program has a site at the Portage Community Center.  For households

with an income of $49,000 or less, this is a free service.  Call 211 to schedule an appointment.
